Fall is here for round 2. I remember a lot of October last year In Nola. the Changing season remeinds me a lot of my favorite city.
We have been teaching loads of lessons. I think this week we taught something like 25 lessons and found 11 New Investigators. Which is awesome. But We're fighting hard to find and teach people who will progress towards baptism. It is a process. No one very specific to report on right now that we have high hopes for besides the Desormeaux family. Just a lot of Potentials.
Its cool though. We rarely teach the same person twice. Mostly because The people that we find through our own efforts are rarely ever very interested. But its fun to see the spirit working through us during our short interactions.
I just really love meeting so many people every day. I think thats awesome. I never feel more succesful as a missionary than when Im finding.
This week we took a walk to the mayors office to kind of report who we are and what we're here to do and then ask if theres anything we can do to help in New Iberia. THere was a kind lady there that gave us some great referrals for community service. This coming week we expect to be getting close to 10 hours of service building community playgrounds. They want us to try to involve the neighborhoods in the build too so we'll try to see that happen as well. We are a two man show!!
I have a picture this week! This is a picture of me and Elder Latham at a meet and Greet yesterday after church for all the ne Move ins. Every one seems to be mostly happy and content. Most seem kinda put off that everyone expects them to be offended because of the new boundaries. They all seem to accept it pretty well.
We are 5 members away from becoming a ward. Then our phase 2 building will begin renovations for a phase 3. It is thrilling. I expect to see it happen while I am here. The Lord has great work instore! A marvelous work indeed!!!
