Hi Eveyone! We had a very fast paced busy busy busy week! a lot of really cool things happened.
So this week we had exchanges and our District leader put me into a trio with the Metairie Elders! they are some really cool guys! When I mentioned to one of them that I had been out for 6 months he asked me if I had burned a tie yet when I told him that I had not he jumped up and said 'I HAVE A TIE YOU CAN BURN!' So we took a few minutes after our trio companionship study and burned a tie. lol It smelled really bad and actually wasnt too fun. but I have included a picture of it.
A miracle Happened this week. an Investigator that I had played a really big role in finding and teaching in Alexandria was baptized on the 11th! Her name is Irma. and she is an amazing lady. I got to call her and talk to her before the Baptism and she was really excited about it and everything. it was such an amazing thing to hear. She really turned her life around. I am really humbled to have been apart of it. The coolest part was that I was able to get permission to skype during the baptism and watch it!! Elder Johnson my old Companion was the one who baptized her and It was so awesome to see. I have learned that Although the formal act of baptism is a very spiritual experience for a person who is joining the church, the real miracle of it happens weeks before as they pray to understand the truth of the Book Of mormon and take steps to change their whole life. THAT is the amazing part of this work. and in honesty. THAT is really everything that I live for. I ache to be apart of that. Irma was one that I got to see her prayer of the Book Of Mormon answered right in front of me. I got to be apart of teaching her during all the critical moments of her conversion and I am so grateful for that. Irma is an amazing lady. I love her a lot.
Thanks for all the emails everyone! I have 14 to answer this week! I will try to get to all of them!
Love to all

P.s. the picture of the Cheesecakes was from a dinner that an AWESOME member in our ward took us out to. Her 2 kids are investigating the church and we got to teach them a lesson and have an awesome spiritual discussion over dinner at the cheesecake factory! It was definitely a highlight!!
