Thanks for this email Dad!
I liked your thoughts on Career and job and work and such. This may be an odd time to voice this because it's only something I've been thinking about but I think I can mention it. and get some family feedback. I've been thinking about doing something in Law. There happen to be a lot of attorneys in the wards out here in New Orleans and I have been impressed by every one of them that I've met. They all seem to be very strong in their wards and families and of course none of them are really worrying about finances. It might just be a regional thing though. Apparently there is a lot of work for Attorney's and Lawyers in Louisiana/New Orleans. I don't know why that is but there sure are a lot of them. It's only something I've thought about. I really enjoy getting into deep Ethical discussions and stuff and debating right and wrong with people. It drives some of my companions a little crazy sometimes I think. Elder Crouch tells me that I have a habit of getting really deep in conversations with other missionaries and members about stuff like that. I don't really know though. It's only a thought. We'll see If I continue to pursue it. But I'd like to hear your thoughts on it Dad.
We have MLC (Missionary Leadership Conference) this week with President Hansen and all of the other Zone Leaders in the mission. and then the day after that we will be passing on the stuff that we learned in THat meeting in our ZTM this Friday to all of the other missionaries in our Zone. It is going to be a very busy week for us. We also have someone who will be getting baptized this Saturday so we have to prepare for that as well. It's going to get hectic. this Monday and Tuesday is kind of the calm before the storm. but when Wednesday hits we are going to be working ourselves to DEATH. haha! It's going to be great! Also, cool thing I learned this week. Every January a General Authority comes and speaks to our mission. Last January it was Elder Cook and I just barely missed him when I came into the field. But I have realized that this January I will be serving as a Zone leader when the next General Authority comes so I will get to be in an extra, smaller crowd type meeting with him which will be cool! I wonder who we will get to hear from this year. It will probably just be a member of the 70. But we will see.
What does R&R mean? you'll have to explain that to me a little better. I don't know what you mean. That sounds like old timey mission lingo.
Love the pictures. Especially the one of you standing by the van with my longboard behind you in the grass. I hope that's not my nice one that yall are leaving outside.
Love to the whole family! Ryan is getting bigger! I like his shades too! he looks like me on a campout from a few years ago!
