This week their was a flashflood!! It was crazy. We had an awesome week of hard work and Serious dedication this week and then on thursday it DOWN POURED. and our land raneth over for there was not room enough to receive it. We had 2 appointments that day. We decided we were determined not to miss them even if the streets were flooded. and they were. Biking through almost a foot or more of water was really hard. But we got to all our appointments on time. It was a powerful testament to myself and reminder just how much we love and care about them. Nothing stopped us this week. The devil Sent forth his mighty winds and his shafts in the whirlwinds and all his hail and his mighty storm did beat upon us but we remained unshakable through all of it. I remember pedaling through the rain and the storm on our way back from a service appointment and thinking "this is what missionary work is all about." It felt good.
A group of guys working for a sales company has moved into the area. They all go to BYU-Idaho. and they are all really great guys. We have already received a couple referrals from them and had some really great lessons.
Interestingly enough, this week our numbers and lessons taught and things like that have started to take a dive. As we have started to be more and more dilligent and hard working we have started to see less sucess from it. and this simple fact does not bother me. at all. I am reminded of some words that the Lord left to a man named Oliver Granger in the Doctrine and Covenants. (D&C 117: 12-13)
..."his sacrifice shall be more sacred unto me than his increase, saith the Lord."
I know that the lord Views our efforts as greater value than our fruits. As we keep striving and are more dilligent that fruit will come. I have hope. I have faith.
I love all of you. thank you for your prayers and emails.
